LOGODI commemorated its 60th anniversary with a special ceremony attended by government leaders, local residents, and international partners.
Since its founding in 1965, LOGODI has trained more than 350,000 public officials, solidifying its role as Korea’s leading institution for local government capacity development and innovation in public HRD.
<Global Cooperation and Future Vision>
The celebration also featured the 7th LOGODI Global Forum 2025, which brought together heads of public administration training institutes from 10 countries, representatives from Korea’s local government training centers, and members of the diplomatic corps in Korea.
Under the theme “Designing for Impact: Government HRD Reset,” participants explored how civil service training can evolve in response to digital transformation and performance-oriented governance. Delegates also took part in a joint seminar with Jeonbuk National University and visited the Jeonju City Government to observe AI-based public service systems in practice.
<Commitment to Innovation and Public Value>
Yun Hojung, the Minister of the Interior and Safety underscored the significance of this milestone, noting:
“It is deeply meaningful to celebrate the 60th anniversary of LOGODI in the same year that marks 30 years of local autonomy in Korea. LOGODI, as the nation’s center for local government training, will continue to nurture regional talents based on strong public values and support the realization of an AI-driven democratic government.”
This vision was further highlighted through an AI-generated declaration, symbolizing LOGODI’s commitment to continuous innovation in the digital era.
<Toward the Next 100 Years>
As it marks this historic milestone, LOGODI reaffirms its mission as a platform for knowledge-sharing, innovation, and global cooperation in public human resource development — looking ahead to the next century of excellence in local governance.
