LOGODI, in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA), conducted the “Capacity Building Program on Digital Transformation and Public Administration Innovation for the Philippines” from September 15 to 23, 2025. This program marked the first year of a three-year Official Development Assistance(ODA) training initiative requested by the Philippine government, with 12 senior officials from central and local governments participating.
The training was designed to support the implementation of the Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028, focusing on sharing Korea’s experience in digital government and AI-based administrative innovation, and exploring strategies for advancing the digital transformation of the Philippine public sector.
The curriculum included customized modules such as strategies for digital and AI transformation, understanding Korea’s digital government policies, ICT-driven administrative innovation, and developing actionable implementation plans. Participants studied key components of digital governance—such as digital leadership, data-driven policymaking, cybersecurity, and institutional frameworks—and discussed how Korea’s best practices in government innovation and public service delivery could be adapted to their own context.
All participants developed and presented their own Action Plans to link the training content with practical policy implementation, ensuring continuity with the following two years of the program.
LOGODI plans to strengthen the AI-based administrative capacities of Philippine officials through the three-year training program, and to actively support the country’s sustainable development by promoting the delivery of swift and reliable public services.
