LOGODI, in partnership with KOICA, hosted the 「Capacity Building Program for Government Innovation in Sri Lanka」 from July 13 to 23. This training course was the second year of three-year ODA cooperation program(2024-2026), initiated at the request of the Sri Lankan government. A total of 15 central and local government officials from Sri Lanka took part in this course.
The program was designed as a customized course focusing on practical themes needed in Sri Lanka’s administrative field, including change management and leadership, government innovation and service quality enhancement, and the use of AI·Big Data. Participants studied Korea’s data-driven policy-making and citizen-oriented service improvement strategies, while also exchanging cases on organizational culture reform and change management.
Also, the group visited the Anyang Smart City Integrated Center and LX, where they experienced ICT-based innovation in public services firsthand. These visits provided insights into how such practices could be adapted to Sri Lanka’s public sector reform. At the end of the course, participants developed and presented action plans to link the training outcomes with concrete policy tasks, and to ensure continuity with next year’s program.
Through this program, LOGODI shared Korea’s accumulated experiences in government innovation and digital public service development. Moving forward, LOGODI will continue to provide practical and future-oriented training programs that equip public officials with the skills needed to actively respond to rapidly changing administrative environments.
