LOGODI Introduces the Capacity Development Programs to Thailand and Myanmar

Upon request to share Korea’s best practices in administrative innovation, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) of the Republic of Korea formed and sent out the 2nd Korea-ASEAN Public Administration Cooperation Corps, headed by Vice Minister Yoon Jong-in, to Thailand and Myanmar from September 19 to 24, 2019.

The Public Administrative Cooperation Corps, joined with the Ministry of Personnel Management, Seoul Metropolitan Government, and other various government ministries and agencies, was composed of experts in the following areas; Decentralization, Capacity Building of Government Officials, HR (Human Resources) Innovation, Traffic Control Management, Emergency Management, and Korea's e-Government Know-how.

LOGODI, as a leading local government officials capacity development institute, was invited to share its mission & role. Ms. Shin Soon-nyo, Director of International Training and Cooperation Division of LOGODI, introduced LOGODI and its programs at the 'Korea-Thailand Public Administration Cooperation Forum' in Bangkok, Thailand on 20th and the 'Korea-Myanmar Public Administration Cooperation Forum' in Naypyidaw, Myanmar on 24th.

Furthermore, Director Shin met with the president and the vice-president of the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) in Thailand and the Rector and Principal of the Central Institute of Civil Service (CICS) in Myanmar to discuss our cooperation and coordination toward the strengthened capacity of local government officials in Thailand and Myanmar.
